ART COLOGNE 2020 has been postponed
New dates from 19 to 22 November 2020, parallel to COLOGNE FINE ART & DESIGN
In close coordination with the crisis management group of the City of Cologne, and in accordance with the decree of the government of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia of 10 March 2020 concerning the organisation of major events, Koelnmesse GmbH is postponing the ART COLOGNE trade fair for modern and contemporary art that was scheduled for 23 to 26 April 2020. This year, it will take place from 19 to 22 November 2020 and be held in Cologne parallel to COLOGNE FINE ART & DESIGN.
The decree by the North Rhine-Westphalia Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs includes an instruction to competent local authorities, effective until further notice, to cancel events for which more than 1,000 people are expected to attend. While implementation of this decree by the City of Cologne is initially limited to 10 April 2020, a prolongation is to be expected if the situation does not improve significantly. This has prompted Koelnmesse to postpone the event. In view of the restrictions that are likely to continue due to the current measures to contain the pathogen and to ensure that our customers can enjoy an adequately prepared ART COLOGNE, Koelnmesse works early on to set the course for a successful trade fair in the autumn.
